This January I’ve made gut health a top priority. After a winter illness that required medications which can be hard on digestion, I’ve been focused on restoring and supporting my digestive system. As someone who travels frequently, I try to keep a steady supply of probiotic foods in my routine—yogurt, kombucha, kimchi, tempeh and miso are staples that help maintain balanced gut flora and overall digestive comfort.

To renew that focus, I’ve decided to take part in a two-week probiotic challenge. The idea is simple: for 14 days I’ll add two probiotic yogurts a day to my usual diet. This is an easy, practical way to increase daily probiotic intake and observe how consistent probiotic support affects digestion, bloating, and energy levels over a short, measurable period.

In addition to everyday fermented foods, many commercially available yogurts include specific probiotic strains formulated to support gut flora. The two-week format is attractive because it’s short enough to be manageable yet long enough to notice meaningful changes in digestion and routine. It also works well as a habit-building exercise: two small servings a day is a realistic addition that can be repeated beyond the initial challenge.

I’m starting the challenge today and will track how I feel at one week and again at two weeks. My goals are modest and focused on practical improvements: less bloating, steadier digestion, and the establishment of a simple daily habit that supports long-term gut health. I’m also curious to see whether regular probiotic servings influence my overall sense of wellbeing, energy and comfort, especially when travel or seasonal illness can disrupt routines.
Some things I’m hoping to experience from the two-week probiotic challenge include:
-
Improved overall digestive comfort
-
Consistent daily probiotic intake
-
Reduced bloating and gas
-
A simple, sustainable healthy habit
I invite you to join this two-week probiotic challenge if you’re interested in supporting your gut health. This type of short commitment is accessible to many people—whether you want to reduce bloating, add more probiotics to your diet, or simply try a manageable health habit for a fortnight. You don’t need any special preparations: choose a probiotic-rich yogurt you enjoy, aim for two servings each day, and notice how your body responds.

If you decide to take part and want to share your progress, consider documenting how you feel at the end of week one and week two. Short notes about digestion, energy, sleep, and mood can help you evaluate whether the habit is worth keeping. Sharing experiences with others can also be motivating—use a personal hashtag or post updates on your preferred social platform to compare notes with friends who might be trying it too.
To join me, simply commit to two probiotic servings a day for the next 14 days and pay attention to how your body responds. Small, consistent actions often lead to meaningful improvements over time, and this challenge is a straightforward way to build one such habit.
